We want you to have confidence in the security of our website and the information transmitted here.

Our pages that require you to input confidential information uses only 128-bit SSL encryption, the industry standard, between our server and your web browser (i.e. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Netscape). This protects your information from unauthorized access.

What does 128-bit SSL encryption mean for you?

The 128-bit SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) gives you one of the highest level of protection possible for all your internet communications, including when you use credit cards or make other financial or confidential transactions. Banks and financial institutions rely on this encryption for their customers confidential information. We accept no less.

How can I tell if the page I am on is using 128-bit SSL
encryption or is a secure connection?

On any page that asks you to enter sensitive information, you can look on your internet browser to identify the level of securtiy of that site. Most website pages' URL address begin with "http://". These are information pages that should not ask for confidential information. However, a secure page's address will start "https://".

Also, you will see a lock icon  somewhere by the address. Each internet browser is a little different, so look around the edges of your browser to find this lock. Some browsers may show this lock as unlocked. A site without a lock or that shows an unlocked lock is not a secure connection. A locked lock means a secure and safe connection.

The certificate that is used to encrypt the connection also contains information about the identity of the website owner or organization. You can click on the lock to view the identity of the website.
